Gilio Beats/Instrumentals

I was born in 1987 in Italy. When I was 5 years old, we moved to Germany. After a year, my parents separated, and my father moved back to Italy. As the oldest of three children, I had to take on responsibilities early on because our mother had to work a lot. I don't want to say that we grew up in poor conditions; there are many people worldwide who have it worse. We just had less than other children. A soccer ball and a handful of action figures were the only things I had for a long time. So, I had to be very creative, which later helped me in my hobby of writing stories.

At the age of 12, I wrote my first rap lyrics and composed my first melodies. By the age of 20, I was locally well-known with my group called Amageddo. The name was a combination of Armageddon and Ghetto, meaning from nothing to the end. We were a group of 12 people who produced songs in our own studio or were together. As the leader of the group, I was always the motivator. Eventually, I could no longer identify with the group and the street mentality. Some friends became involved in crime or started taking drugs. I had lost connection with these people. At that time, I focused on my career to establish a foundation for starting a family.

When I was 24, I started producing beats myself, and I enjoyed not being in the spotlight. When I was 27, my first son was born. Shortly after, my wife and I got married. Our second son was born a year later. Today, I am 36 years old and still making music. My children are now 7 and 9 years old. Sometimes, they join me when I make music. In addition to my MPC, I have other musical instruments, so each of us can make music and play it for the others. Those are the shared moments I enjoy the most. I hope that one day my children will also make music to escape this world if the negative influences become too much for them.

I was raised strictly religious from birth. Looking back now, I would say that it protected me from drugs, alcohol, and other vices during my childhood and early adolescence. As I understood it then, deviating from that path meant heading towards hell. Even today, I have no inclination towards drugs and alcohol. I don't understand how one can enjoy losing control in that way.

After many years, I now have a different perspective on religion. As a child, I wondered why there are so many religions. I questioned what would happen if I had joined the wrong one—would I go to hell? Following the scandals in churches and communities and the infiltration of the Jesuits into the Vatican, I realized that there are also dark forces at play within religion.

I adhere to the Ten Commandments because they form the basis of every religion. If we all live by these simple rules, peace will prevail.
